Softball Recap: Peninsula Catholic Takes a Loss

Peninsula Catholic fell victim to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Saints, falling 10-0. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 17-0 to the Saints when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Peninsula Catholic and nudges their season record down to 7-4. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Peninsula Catholic will head out to face off against StoneBridge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they will welcome Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.43 runs per game on average), something the Saints will no doubt try to take advantage of.
