Basketball Recap: Quapaw Comes Up Short

Quapaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 76-39 defeat at the hands of the Wyandotte Bears. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 57-17 back in December of 2024.

Quapaw's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Wyandotte, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Quapaw Wildcats duke it out with the Commerce Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Quapaw is facing Commerce at the right time seeing as Commerce is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Wyandotte has already played their next contest, a 62-49 win against Miami on the 18th.
