Harleton had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Union Grove Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted against the Lions since April 29, 2019.

Harleton's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Union Grove, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5.
