Three Rivers is 0-3 against Falls City since March of 2021 but things could change on Friday. Three Rivers will look to defend their home field against Falls City at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Three Rivers blew past La Pryor 19-1. The victory was nothing new for Three Rivers as they're now sitting on five straight.
Cody Sells was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, James Contreras was a standout: he scored three runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Xavier Carranza, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Three Rivers always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Falls City was not the first on the board last Tuesday, but they got there more often. They put the hurt on Charlotte with a sharp 9-3 win. The victory continues a trend for the Beavers in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now won five in a row.
Hunter Morawietz looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dale Shaffer, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. He has become a key player for Falls City: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Daylen Kowalik was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Three Rivers pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 15.67 hits in those games compared to only 3.83 in the others. As for Falls City, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Three Rivers has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Falls City struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Three Rivers couldn't quite finish off Falls City in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can Three Rivers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
