Baseball Recap: Northside - Pinetown Wins Going Away Against Lejeune

Northside - Pinetown's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Lejeune Devil Pups. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Devil Pups, too.

Reed Clinkscales and Chase Hewitt did most of the damage at the plate: Clinkscales went 3-for-4 with one run and one double, while Hewitt went 2-for-4 with three runs. Those three runs gave Hewitt a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ashton Willard, who went 1-for-4 with two runs.

Northside - Pinetown hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive games.

Northside - Pinetown's record is now 7-14. As for Lejeune, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Northside - Pinetown will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Devil Pups: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
