San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 6-3. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Veribest Falcons. The Eagles were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Falcons, so the Eagles were just returning the favor.

As for Veribest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-3 Andrews (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 68.3% over those games).

Despite the defeat, Veribest saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kaci York had eight kills, three digs, and one block.

San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Andrews on the 22nd. As for Veribest, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Sonora on the 22nd.
