Volleyball Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alvin Yellowjackets.

Elgin's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Alvin, they moved to 4-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Alvin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Bastrop on the 22nd. Hopefully Elgin paid attention to the Yellowjackets' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Yellowjackets at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
