Basketball Recap: Cooper Zachary and Jason Gardner Secure Win for Fishers + How To Watch

Fishers won the last time they faced Indianapolis Arsenal Technical and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 72-48 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Leading Fishers to victory were Jason Gardner and Cooper Zachary. Gardner went 11-for-16 to rack up 22 points along with eight boards and five assists, while Zachary shot 46% from the field en route to 21 points in addition to five assists and five steals. The matchup was Gardner's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Kai McGrew, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 14 points and seven rebounds.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Fishers was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Indianapolis Arsenal Technical only posted nine.

Indianapolis Arsenal Technical's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Salmone Mitchell, who went 5-for-9 to rack up 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Qualin Lollis, who posted eight points and eight boards.

Fishers' record is now 2-0. As for Indianapolis Arsenal Technical, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fishers will welcome Noblesville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Indianapolis Arsenal Technical, they will be playing at home against North Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
