Recap: Reagan Rattlers vs. Churchill Chargers
The Reagan Rattlers lost against the Churchill Chargers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Reagan received a tough blow as they fell 49-32 to Churchill. Reagan has struggled against Churchill recently, as their game on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Several Rattlers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sahara Green, who scored six points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Bri Glosson, who scored three points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Churchill to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Fernandez, who scored ten points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Rakiya Nelson, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Reagan's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Churchill, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.
Reagan will head out on the road to challenge SA Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. SA Roosevelt has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 18. As for Churchill, they will be playing at home against Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshall is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
