Soccer Recap: Peoria Takes a Loss

Peoria was the 4-0 winner over Deer Valley when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Peoria Panthers came up short against the Deer Valley Skyhawks on Monday, falling 7-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Francesca Gil, who's now up to 11 this season.

Peoria's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Deer Valley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3-1.

Peoria will challenge Estrella Foothills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Deer Valley, they will face off against Westview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Deer Valley is facing Westview at the right time seeing as Westview is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
