Basketball Recap: Blue Ridge Takes a Loss

Blue Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. The matchup between them and the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights didn't end well, with the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers falling 54-40. While losing is never fun, the Fighting Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Knights are ranked 27th).

When it comes to explaining why Blue Ridge lost, don't look at Trey Bradley. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jayden Barnett, who had nine points.

Blue Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Blue Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 83-70 loss against Landrum on the 13th. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-28 win against Crescent on the 13th.
