Football Recap: Poughkeepsie Takes a Loss

If Poughkeepsie was riding high fresh off their 50-0 takedown of Croton-Harmon last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pioneers received a blow on Friday as they fell 22-6 to the Tappan Zee Dutchmen. The defeat continues a trend for the Pioneers in their meetings with the Dutchmen: they've now lost four in a row.

Poughkeepsie's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Tappan Zee, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Poughkeepsie is set to challenge their familiar foe Greeley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tappan Zee will take on rival Walter Panas at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
