Football Recap: Maricopa Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home + How To Watch

Maricopa dropped to 6-4 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They lost 41-19 to the Cienega Bobcats. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bobcats 13-7 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Maricopa still got an impressive performance from Khaleb Johnson, who rushed for 78 yards and one TD.

Even if they lost, Maricopa's defensive line still kept up the pressure with 4.5 sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Alexander Nelson, Tayeshawn Hester, and Brennan Pearson, who each picked up one sack apiece.

As for Cienega, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Considering they have won four contests by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Cienega's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jalen Horn, who rushed for 91 yards and one score, and also picked up 83 receiving yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 77 yards. Ayden Billings was in the mix too, providing Cienega with two TDs.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maricopa will square off against Notre Dame Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cienega, they will challenge Sunnyslope at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' defense better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 40.7 points per game this season.
