Oak Lawn dropped their record down to 20-12 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Reavis Rams by a score of 2-1. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 7-0.

Jackson Hilger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

As for Reavis, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.

On Reavis' side, Dennis Muraida tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Muraida has posted since back in April.

At the plate, Reavis' victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Perez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Looking ahead, Oak Lawn will welcome Solorio at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Reavis, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 5-0 loss against Lincoln-Way East on the 22nd.
