Basketball Recap: Josh Perez Key Part of a Team Effort in Warriors Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Morrill, Sioux County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Oelrichs Tigers by a score of 52-39. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Warriors also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sioux County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Perez, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 18 boards. What's more, Perez also racked up three steals, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jack Hunter, who posted 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Sioux County's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Oelrichs, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Sioux County has already played their next matchup, a 49-39 win against Banner County on the 8th. As for Oelrichs, they will take on Takini at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
