Softball Game Preview: Aloha Warriors vs. Southridge Skyhawks

Aloha is 2-8 against Southridge since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Skyhawks at 5:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Aloha is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Westview, falling 11-2.

Abby Dimeo was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Avery Dimeo, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one double.

Meanwhile, Southridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-1 to Sunset, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Aloha's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Southridge, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Aloha couldn't quite get it done against Southridge when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 8-3. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
