Baseball Recap: Fredericktown's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Fredericktown waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Arcadia Valley Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Black Cats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Braydan Homan was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Homan was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Ryan Souden and Easton Wood did most of the damage at the plate: Souden scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Wood scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Those runs were Souden's first of the season.

Fredericktown pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Arcadia Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Fredericktown will square off against Rolla at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Arcadia Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ste. Genevieve at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Dragons have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
