Baseball Game Preview: Curtis Vikings vs. Eastlake Wolves

The Curtis Vikings will venture away from home to take on the Eastlake Wolves at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Curtis 3.6, Eastlake 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Curtis came out on top against Tahoma on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Vikings took their matchup against the Bears 7-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastlake). Everything went their way against Jackson on Saturday as they made off with a 14-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Eastlake's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another was Jayden Matsuoka, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Eastlake's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-8. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Curtis, their win bumped their record up to 17-8.
