Baseball Game Preview: Starks Panthers vs. Hackberry Mustangs

The Starks Panthers will challenge the Hackberry Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Starks has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Starks and Singer, and Singer kept the tradition alive. The Panthers came up short against the Hornets on Thursday, falling 18-9.

Meanwhile, Hackberry came up short against Welsh on Monday and fell 6-1. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hackberry saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madden Spicer, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Hackberry now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Starks, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Starks suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to Hackberry in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
