Fulton hadn't done well against Laingsburg recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over the Wolfpack. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Pirates' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Parker Billings was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Parker Duflo was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

The win got Fulton back to even at 2-2. As for Laingsburg, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wolfpack beat Fulton by a score of 4-3 later that day.
