Volleyball Recap: Catalina Takes a Loss

Catalina lost against Amphitheater back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Trojans came up short against the Panthers, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-10, 25-10.

Isabella Espinoza was the offensive standout of the game as she had 11 assists and four aces.

Catalina's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Amphitheater, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Catalina is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Palo Verde at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Amphitheater, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Desert Sunrise on the 11th.
