Volleyball Recap: Colonie Central Wins Going Away Against Schalmont

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake, Colonie Central was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Schalmont Sabres 3-0. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolfpack as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Colonie Central never let Schalmont on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-20.

Colonie Central's win bumped their record up to 5-9-1. As for Schalmont, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

Colonie Central will host Averill Park at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Schalmont, they will challenge Ichabod Crane at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
