Baseball Recap: Glenbard East's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Glenbard East never let their opponents score on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Elgin Maroons. Considering the Rams have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Glenbard East's fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Elgin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenbard East will challenge Naperville North at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last four games the Huskies have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Elgin, they will take on Fenton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
