Baseball Recap: Clinton Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Clinton won the last time they faced Tahanto Regional and things went their way on Friday too. The Gaels were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Stags. The result was nothing new for the Gaels, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Clinton got a great performance from Aiden Dubois as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Josh Nelson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Liam Nelligan, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.

Clinton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tahanto Regional only managed four hits.

Clinton pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Tahanto Regional, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton will face off against North Middlesex Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tahanto Regional, they will take on Gardner at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
