Softball Recap: Pettus Comes Up Short

Pettus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 20-1 to Woodsboro. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Woodsboro this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-1 back in March.

Pettus' loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for Woodsboro, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 23-3.

Pettus does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodsboro, they will square off against Kenedy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
