Orland dropped to 4-2 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Gridley Bulldogs by a score of 29-26. Despite 158 more yards than the Bulldogs, the Trojans couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite the loss, Orland still got an impressive performance from Luke Schager, who rushed for 149 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 91 yards and one TD. Schager's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 149 rushing yards.

Even if they lost, Orland's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Dominic Gonzalez refused to say out of the backfield, picking up a sack all by himself.
