Softball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Bear Lake's Winning Streak

After flying high against North Fremont on Saturday, Bear Lake came back down to earth. Bear Lake fell 11-8 to the Soda Springs Cardinals on Saturday. If the Bears were looking for revenge after losing 16-15 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bear Lake saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Armstrong, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. Amanda Saxton was another, going 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

With the defeat, Bear Lake broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-7. As for Soda Springs, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Bear Lake didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-4 loss against Wendell on the 29th. As for Soda Springs, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Soda Springs Cardinals face off against Firth Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
