Basketball Recap: Richmond Comes Up Short

Richmond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 83-43 loss at the hands of the De Anza Dons. If the Oilers were looking for revenge after losing 88-54 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

De Anza's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jo'Zhon Stallworth, who posted 15 points. Jay McDowell was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Richmond's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for De Anza, they pushed their record up to 8-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: De Anza beat Richmond by a score of 67-34 on Wednesday.
