Softball Recap: Vasquez Comes Up Short

West Ranch hit Vasquez with a four-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs fell 10-6 to the Wildcats. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Sadie Mendoza was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Nasrallah, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Vasquez has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for West Ranch, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-14.

Vasquez wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 20-3 victory against Desert Christian on the 5th. As for West Ranch, they have also already played their next game, a 19-0 win against Golden Valley on the 6th.
