Winning always takes teamwork, but on Wednesday Gia Whelan stepped things up a notch to give Glenbard North the 'W'. Whelan wasn't messing around, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. The contest was her third straight with three or more RBI.

Whelan and Glenbard North will challenge Waubonsie Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers had to take a loss when they last met the Warriors, but Whelan had little to do with the loss: she went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
