Basketball Recap: Aniak Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Aniak and Tri-Valley squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Aniak had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Tri-Valley Warriors 67-38. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Halfbreeds of the 41-28 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2022.

Aniak has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. Tri-Valley's victory bumped their record up to 11-12.

Aniak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tri-Valley, they and Emmonak will face off at 9:30 a.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played.
