Prospect and Niles North squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Prospect had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 1-0. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Prospect's record now sits at 14-12. As for Niles North, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Prospect does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Niles North, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mundelein at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
