Football Recap: Christina Fowler's Menacing Defense Leads Anclote over Hudson

Anclote's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with an 18-6 victory over the Hudson Cobras. The Sharks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Alexis Miller had an outrageously good game as she rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown on only six carries, and also threw for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Her longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain her lofty yards per carry total.

Anclote didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Christina Fowler, Cassidy Delima, and Kamilee Minniefield picked up one apiece.

The win got Anclote back to even at 2-2. As for Hudson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Anclote will venture away from home to challenge Wiregrass Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Anclote: 11.5, Wiregrass Ranch: 15) so any points scored will be well earned. Hudson will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sunlake at 6:00 p.m. on March 11th.
