Recap: West Broward Bobcats vs. Plantation Colonels
The West Broward Bobcats lost against the Plantation Colonels back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. West Broward took a 69-53 bruising from Plantation. While losing is never fun, West Broward can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 525th, while Plantation is ranked 200th).
It was another big night for Daterrius Heller, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds for Plantation. Those 13 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Clemons, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
West Broward's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Plantation, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
West Broward will head out on the road to face off against Everglades at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Plantation will be home for the holidays to greet Taravella at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Taravella is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
