Cian Moore Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Covington was led to victory by Cian Moore, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Moore rushed for 390 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 69 receiving yards. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.1 rushing touchdowns per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Moore is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Attica on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Moore saw the Red Ramblers), he rushed for 303 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 55 receiving yards.

On Friday, Riverton Parke got the W thanks in part to Aj Goff playing the best football he has all season. Goff rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also picked up 104 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
On the season, Goff has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 27.3 receiving yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had three rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to five.

Dallas Coleman Turns in Season-Best Effort
South Vermillion was led to victory by Dallas Coleman, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Coleman rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 45 receiving yards. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 66 yards.
Unfortunately for Fountain Central, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Coleman. Coleman rushed for 87 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 34 receiving yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Mustangs duked it out back in September of 2023.

Matthew Dawson Goes Supernova in North Vermillion Victory
North Vermillion picked up their third consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Matthew Dawson. Dawson was dynamite, rushing for 135 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, while also throwing for 198 yards and two touchdowns.
North Vermillion's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Dawson and North Vermillion will look to defend their home field on Friday against Fountain Central at 7:00 p.m.

South Vermillion Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Dominic Garzolini
Dominic Garzolini's big game helped extend South Vermillion's winning streak to seven on Friday. Garzolini was unstoppable, throwing for 301 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
On the season, Garzolini has thrown 29 touchdowns while averaging 289.1 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had 19 passing touchdowns.
