Volleyball Recap: Hickory Red Tornadoes vs. St. Stephens Indians

Hickory had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the St. Stephens Indians on Tuesday as the Hickory Red Tornadoes made off with a 3-0 victory. The Red Tornadoes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Hickory never let St. Stephens on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-22.

Ali Rose went supernova for Hickory, getting 23 digs and two aces. Rose is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in the last six games she's played.

Hickory was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as St. Stephens only served five.

Hickory's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-3. As for St. Stephens, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-12.

Hickory wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Carson on the 24th. St. Stephens does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
