Volleyball Recap: Ursuline's Run of Seven Straight Wins Now Over

It was a good run, but Ursuline unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Monday. They lost 3-0 to the Scarsdale Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Koalas have suffered since September 26th.

Ursuline was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Scarsdale work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 26-24, 25-18.

Caroline Tully paced Ursuline's offense, picking up ten kills. Tully got some help from Summer Syken and her 11 assists. Allison Garvin and Arianna Vescio kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Ursuline's loss dropped their record down to 13-6-1. As for Scarsdale, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-10-1 record this season.

Ursuline will venture away from home to face off against New Rochelle at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Scarsdale has already played their next matchup (against Eastchester), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
