Basketball Recap: Cocoa Comes Up Short

Cocoa lost against Sebastian River back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cocoa Tigers fell just short of the Sebastian River Sharks by a score of 55-53.

Despite the defeat, Cocoa saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tony Adderley went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of TJ Parks, who posted eight points.

Andrew Simpson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Sebastian River, going 5 of 10 on his way to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Sergio Hogue, who had eight points.

Cocoa's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Sebastian River, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Cocoa has already played their next contest, a 70-65 defeat against Titusville on the 7th. As for Sebastian River, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-36 loss against Treasure Coast on the 4th.
