After a string of eight wins, Alma's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 48-47 to the Southwest Roughriders. Alma's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4. As for Southwest, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.
Alma has already played their next match, a 48-21 win against Paxton on the 1st. As for Southwest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-57 victory against Maywood/Hayes Center on the 1st.
