Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Michigan School for the Deaf). They secured a 35-31 W over the Ohio School for the Deaf Spartans on Friday. For the Tartars, this counts as revenge for the 41-17 victory the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2019.

Marilyn Alcocer and Kylee Campbell certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Alcocer posted eight points and 20 boards, while Campbell dropped a double-double on 13 points and 23 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Campbell a new career-high in points.

Michigan School for the Deaf picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Ohio School for the Deaf, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ohio School for the Deaf beat Michigan School for the Deaf by a score of 35-8 on Saturday.
