Basketball Recap: Randolph Gets the Win

Randolph had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 52-51 victory over the Fall River Pirates. Given the Rockets' advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while the Pirates are ranked 305th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Randolph's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Fall River, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

When Randolph and Fall River next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Randolph will try to stop Loyal's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Fall River will square off against Owen-Withee and their three-game winning streak at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
