Quitman has gone 3-0 against Wayne County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Quitman Panthers will challenge the Wayne County War Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Quitman is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Oak Grove on Tuesday. Quitman came out on top against Oak Grove by a score of 51-41.

Meanwhile, Wayne County made easy work of Stone on Tuesday and carried off a 46-20 victory.

Wayne County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points per game. As for Quitman, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Quitman took their win against Wayne County when the teams last played back in November by a conclusive 54-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Quitman since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
