Volleyball Recap: Blakley Blue Key Part of Team Effort in Bruins Win

South Florence won the last time they faced Lower Richland and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bruins put the hurt on the Diamond Hornets with a sharp 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: South Florence took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-14, 25-11.

South Florence got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Blakley Blue out in front who had 31 assists and two aces. Those 31 assists gave Blue a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jana Knight, who had six aces.

The win got South Florence back to even at 6-6-1. As for Lower Richland, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5-1.
