Cypress Creek gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Zephyrhills Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Coyotes, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cypress Creek was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-18, 25-18.

Addison Wilkes paced Cypress Creek's offense, picking up 13 kills. Wilkes got some help from Ava Hofferberth and her 23 assists. Hofferberth was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Zephyrhills' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Cypress Creek will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wiregrass Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on the 9th. As for Zephyrhills, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Anclote on the 2nd.
