Baseball Recap: Bourbon County Takes a Loss

Bourbon County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 7-2 to the George Rogers Clark Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Colonels of the 9-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Bourbon County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for George Rogers Clark, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bourbon County will head out to take on Grant County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for George Rogers Clark, they will venture away from home to challenge Montgomery County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
