Greensboro Day School came tearing into  Friday's  match with four straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Caldwell Academy Eagles get on the board and left with  a   6-0  victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  11-4  last Tuesday.
 Trevor Waters made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he  tossed 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  a single  earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing  Four bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  stolen bases.
 In other pitching news,  Mason Grady looked comfortable as he  struck out seven batters over  3.2 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   two  hits. Those  seven  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high.
 Back at the plate, Greensboro Day School's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Oliver Fisher, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Nick Salas also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Greensboro Day School pushed their record up to 6-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Caldwell Academy, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 4-4.

As for Caldwell Academy, they will take on South Stanly at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
