Baseball Recap: Leman Manhattan Prep Starts Season with Victory Against Avenues the World School

Leman Manhattan Prep had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Avenues The World School a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The Bull have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Avenues The World School, too.

Not much got past Jack Haskell, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Avenues The World School off the board.

At the plate, Lucas Paulino was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Michael Douglas was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
