Softball Recap: South Summit Comes Up Short

South Summit's tournament run continued when they took on Olympus on Saturday. The South Summit Wildcats lost 12-4 to the Olympus Titans. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emma Broadbent made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Brinley Stapleton was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI.

South Summit now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Olympus, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, South Summit will welcome Wasatch at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Olympus, they will square off against Tooele at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Olympus is facing Tooele at the right time seeing as Tooele is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
