Football Recap: Tensas Panthers vs. Plain Dealing Lions

Tensas had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged the Plain Dealing Lions out 16-14. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Panthers were the better team in the second half.

The critical scores for Tensas came from Emajai Bethel and Cameron Gray.

Tensas wouldn't let Plain Dealing keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Xavier Gibson, Ezra Arrington, and Adrien Brown Jr picked up one apiece. Brown Jr also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making four total tackles.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tensas will take on Beekman Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
