Baseball Game Preview: Crestview Rebels vs. Lowellville Rockets

The Crestview Rebels will face off against the Lowellville Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lowellville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Crestview, who comes in off a win.

On Wednesday, Crestview beat Heartland Christian 6-1. That five-run margin sets a new team best for the Rebels this season.

Western Reserve hit Lowellville with a six-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rockets came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 14-8. Rockets fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Blue Devils since Tuesday.

Zak Sargent was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with three RBI. Another player making a difference was Brody Daniels, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Crestview is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lowellville, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Crestview skirted past Lowellville 2-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Do the Rebels have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
